And yes, Vivi is seriously happy that she was born in 1995, and will not be sued for Pedophilia for liking these totally adorable Korean males.  And because of that, I have decided to put them up on an Eyecandy SPOT article! It has been long since I last posted something about Korean Pop.

I have no idea yet who’s who aside from the twins (Blondie is Youngmin and the one in a blue blazer is Kwangmin), so I better do my research to make this sound legit.  ROFL.

BOYFRIEND

Boyfriend is a South Korean pop group. They are brought to you to fangirl over by StarShip Entertainment, the same company who brought K.Will and SISTAR in the scene. So, because of their successful sunbaes, we expect a lot from these adorable boys. And also because they’re the first boy group StarShip ever created.

And they don’t fail expectations. They’re built with six members, all plausible eyecandies, and them having twins is a plus brownie point for me. Vivi just digs twins.

I’ll probably update my findings and their profiles once I find an international forum for them. They beat Teen Top in being young, I think, for having three 95′ers. Cool right? I’m so happy I’m a 95′er. No pedophilia found there. ROFL.

THE TEASER

The teaser was very eyecatching, and very different from their concept video. The Water Floor teaser was strong and beastly, showcasing the group’s strong dance moves and the twins’ break dancing. It was probably to gain watchers, seeing that more of the population loves beastly images.

But I’m not one of those so, I thank heavens they released a cute MV instead. But here’s the teaser, something to excite the inner pedophilia lurking in some noonas ((shot))…LOLJK.  It’s something to excite future GIRLFRIENDS and BESTFRIENDS for their Debut.

THE REAL MV <3

Now this. This is what I call boyfriend material. I instantly went to youtube today to find this, and was pleasantly surprised when they decided to debut with a cute image instead. Their name suits a boy-next-door image, so the song “BOYFRIEND” was very fitting for them. The concept was cute and lighthearted, and left me smiling all throughout the video. And only a few videos do that to me. (Infinite’s Nothing’s Over is one example. <3)

The Concept:

The “Boyfriend” Concept

The concept was pretty fitting, sweet and cuddly and all-sorts of nosebleed inducing cute. The concept fit the song very well, and their image of being “boyfriends” was retained with it. It was cute, colorful, and was like a fresh breath away from all those angsty noire videos most groups are pulling out. And it’s always nice to have a ray of sunshine of Boyfriend on a cloudy day of dreary videos, right?

The Song:

The song sounded nice, and the repetitive “I wanna be your boyfriend” chorus is very catchy. And very smile-inducing. A person like me, who is totally a sucker for cute and cuddly and sweet lyrics would instantly say “I wanna be your girlfriend!” I have yet to find an english translation for a full commentary, so if you have any, please link in the comments. I’d highly appreciate it.

The Dance:

Can I say BAZINGA? IT WAS AWESOME. The synchrony totally reminded me of Infinite’s own, and I’d like to say they’re at par with their totally-in-sync sunbaes. A competitor, eh? And the dance was very fitting, seeing as it was like pleading for some attention or a yes. See what they did there? And some were totally complicated with the high kicks. So, I commend them for the high-synchronization of the dance.

General comments and Suggestions:

For me to actually make something out of this, I’d love to see them perform live. If the synchrony stays and the vocals are good, they’ll be hailed my number one Rookies for the year. I awaited them for a long time, so I just wish they do not fail me. Well, I waited for them like I did for Infinite, and Infinite never failed me so…I hope for the same results for Boyfriend.

They have potential for staying long in the game, seeing the uniqueness of their group with Twins (FOR HEAVEN’S SAKE WHO WOULDN’T LOVE TWINS) and the one-of-a-kind vocals. A little tweak here and there and some more lives, they’ll be on top anytime soon.

I’ll be a girlfriend for these boyfriends. So, oppa~! HWAITING! <3
