YOU BELONG WITH ME Fanfic by Vivi
Characters: Lee Minseul, Shin Dongho, IU, other U-KISS Members…
Pairing: DongSeul (Dongho/Minseul)
BY THE WAY. SULLIE IS NOT SULLI OF F(X). I DO NOT SHIP DONGSUL. MINSEUL IS MY OWN CHARACTER AND IS NOT INFLUENCED BY SULLI IN ANY WAY. THANK YOU.
—————————————————————————————————————————————–
Everytime I see you with her, I wish I was blind. Everytime I hear you speak words of love to her, I wish I was deaf. Everytime you ask me to comment about her, I wish I was mute. Everytime you want me to walk by you both, I wish I was limp. Except that, everytime I’m halfway into those wishes, some little fairy sprinkles some hope into me.
Hope that one day, I’ll be that her with you.
And that hope is the only thing I have got to keep me from going crazy.
——————————————————————————————————————————————-
Minseul slowly pushed her black-rimmed glasses at a stable position on the bridge of her nose. Darn her bangs. All those untamed black hair are seriously shielding her beautiful—but albeit hidden-behind-suckish-glasses—sky blue eyes from her diary. It was darn hard to write with bangs on your face.
“I just wish I would get to say these words to you.” Minseul said in that shyly sweet voice of hers.
Lee Minseul, with her long black hair, baby blue eyes, sweet oval face and fair skin is, in a lack of a proper word, very beautiful. The only problem is she lacks the very important thing all beautiful girls should possess: confidence. Seriously. The girl thinks she’s ugly beyond compare. She wears baggy print shirts, loose-fitting jeans and worn-out Vans. But, behind all of those ugly layers lies a wonderfully pretty ethereal angel.
If only she knew how beautiful she was.
Her reading was then disturbed by some buzzing sound, the sound of a telephone ringing, and before she could get mad at anyone, Minseul realized it was her own cellphone. She picked the bubblegum blue LG Cooky and pressed the answer button, and said with a melodic voice to the receiver, an equally sweet hello.
“Yah, Sullie-ah” said a boy’s voice from the end of the receiver. Only one person could and would call her Sullie. Her best friend, Shin Dongho. “It’s me, Dongho.”
“O-oh…” stuttered Minseul. She just wished Dongho couldn’t hear her heart beating a mile per hour at the end of the line. Even with IU around, Dongho’s alleged girlfriend, every fiber of Minseul’s being still called out for the U-KISS Maknae. Well, yeah. The three of them were k-pop idols, Minseul undergoing a wonderful transformation everytime she is onstage or onscreen, belting out powerful tones as the idol Bella. And IU was that cute and cuddly “Marshmallow” singer. And Dongho, the Hope of U-KISS. But, though stuck as the ever faithful bestfriend, something inside her can’t help but fall for the boy “D-Dongho-oppa.” She managed to say at last.
“Hey” said Dongho “Uh, is this a bad time?”
“No!” assured Minseul “I wasn’t doing anything anyway.” She pushed her diary further under her sheets “Why have you called?”
“She’s mad at me” said Dongho. And by she, Minseul knew it as always, he meant IU. Everytime IU and Dongho has a misunderstanding, Dongho would always call Minseul. She was used to this. Except, it was like the third time Marshmallow Girl was mad at Cutie Pie Maknae and that…That was something Sullie was not used to.
“Why?” asked Minseul “What did you do?”
“I don’t know.” Said Dongho, clueless as ever “She refused to talk to me again.”
Minseul remembered the date. Oh yeah, it was IU’s birthday yesterday. “Did you at least give her a gift yesterday?” She asked, hoping for a yes as an answer. It would be bad if Dongho forgot. IU throws tantrums over the smallest things, which she knows.
“No.” said Dongho, scatterbrained as ever “Why the heck would I give her a gift?”
“You sure forget a lot of things, don’t you?” said Minseul, rolling her eyes. “IT WAS HER BIRTHDAY YESTERDAY.” She practically shouted over the phone.
“OH!” Dongho finally realized his mistake…”That was why she was so mad…”
“So, what are you going to do about it?” asked Minseul, curious
“I don’t know. Oh, wait! I’m sending her a text…Thanks for the help, Sullie-ah! You’re a gem.” Said Dongho cheerfully.
“Wait! IU—“ said Minseul. Except that before she finished, Dongho already hung up. “My Goodness gracious…Seriously, Dongho-oppa is as nonchalant as ever…” She then got her diary back from under her sheets, and opened it back to where she stopped writing. “I sometimes wonder why I like him so much.”
——————————————————————————————————————————————
Minseul stared at the open space below her. The rooftop has a breathtakingly nice view. She leaned forward, causing her untamed bangs to be blown more on her doll-like face. For the first time in her life, she was thankful for her glasses. Without them, she would be blind by now because of her bangs. She got up from her leaning position and slid down to a sitting one, as she got out her starry blue diary, a fan’s gift, and started writing.
———————————————————————————————————————————————-
If I just had the courage, I would have told you. If I just had the strength, I would have whisked you away. If I had the guts, I would have never helped you with your problems with her. Except, if I did, you might get mad. And that is something I will never will to happen. You are much precious to me.
If only….If only I could tell you how precious you are…
———————————————————————————————————————————————-
“Writing a best selling novel, huh?” asked a voice coming towards Minseul. She looked up. Her face flustered. Dongho’s wonderful face was just inches away from hers.
“D-D-D-Dongho-oppa…” Said Minseul, stuttering from the close distance. “C-could you…Um…Step back a little?”
Dongho chuckled. Minseul blushed even more as she felt her one love’s breath. “You look cute when you’re embarrassed.” He said, as he took one step back. Minseul almost threw the diary off the roof before realizing her bag was just beside her.
Wait, did she hear right? Did Dongho just call her cute? She must be out of her mind, she thought. She’s just hearing things.
“Anyway, you love staying here, right?” asked Dongho, combing his hand through his hair. “I do see you a lot from below.”
“From below?” Minseul asked, tucking a stray strand behind her ear. “Oh. I do like looking down. Yeah. I do like it here. But, it’s my turn to ask questions now. I never see you up here. What brings you?”
“Well…I…uh…” Said Dongho, leaning on the sill “Well, whatever. I need your help. IU is still mad at me. And I don’t get it…”
“Sigh…” Minseul sighed, holding back her long hair. “I was about to tell you to get her a cake and a gift and maybe even sing for her but, you hung up before I could say a word.” She arranged her glasses on her nose. The wind wants to blow it away. And they might break. She didn’t have a spare in her bag.
“All of that?” asked Dongho, counting on his fingers the amount all of those might fall on. “But I’m broke!”
“At least say sorry personally.” Minseul advised, smiling a little at Dongho’s nonchalance. “No one, especially girls, like an apology through a text message.”
“Fine.” Said Dongho. He sighed deeply and smiled. “You really are a big help to me, Seullie-ah.”
Minseul smiled away a pink blush. But, another gust of wind blew and shielded her face with those untamed bangs of hers. Dongho reached out his hand and gently arranged and tucked her bangs behind her ears. He smiled. Minseul prayed for dear life that Dongho didn’t notice her blush. She can feel her cheeks getting red at the moment. She also noticed Dongho get out something from his pocket.
“And yeah, Sullie-ah…” said Dongho, holding the something—an ornate silver hair clip adorned with stars and celestial bodies. It was a long curvy line, with thinner curves encircling the main. Each curve had a string of silver stars on them, leading to a bigger star, placed next to a shining moon. It was a perfectly beautiful clip, perfect for Minseul. “As thanks for all your help…” He gently clipped the ornament on Minseul’s bangs to put them away from her angelic face. “A clip to tame your bangs.” Dongho beamed at her.
Minseul blushed even more and looked at her jet-black Vans. She reached to her hair and felt the ornament. Even without looking, she had already known it was beautiful. And she already loved it. “T-thanks, Dongho-oppa.”
“Don’t mention it.” Dongho replied with a sincere smile. “You do look prettier with those bangs away from your face. And, thanks for the help.” Dongho ended as he run down the stairs, making rhythmic footsteps echo through the hollow staircase.
Minseul was amazed she couldn’t move. Dongho called her pretty.
She went down the stairs, her heart filled with glee. She turned to the lobby, ready to run out of the building, fully energized with happiness. But, as she turned to a corner, all that happiness was crushed when she saw Dongho and IU locked in a very intimate embrace. So, her plan worked. Shouldn’t she be happy?
Dongho spied her from the corner of his eyes. He smiled at her and gave her a thumbs up. Minseul returned that smile with her own, albeit bitter, version. Her pink lips quivered from all the force she was using to do that smile. Again, shouldn’t she be happy for Dongho? Well, yeah she was happy. On the outside.
On the inside, she was dying from sadness.
——————————————————————————————————————————————
How much it might hurt everytime I see you with her instead of me, how much it might crush my heart whenever you embrace her in those arms I want myself to be wrapped in, how much it brings me unimaginable pain whenever I see you hold her with those hands I want to touch, I still persevere. I still hope.
Because as of now, that’s the only thing I can do.
Hope that one day I’ll be the one with you.
———————————————————————————————————————————
Another night, another phone call. Minseul got her CYON COOKY from under her sheets. Dongho. Nothing was new. She fought the urge to pray that something has come up between the Marshmallow Couple. Along with that, she fought the urge to not answer. She had no right to be angry anyway. With a wisp of hesitation, and an ounce of wishful thinking, she answered the phone.
“Hello?” she said apathetically.
“Oh hey,” said Dongho, an unnecessary amount of happiness oozing from his melodic voice. “Seriously, Thanks…You are a lifesaver.”
“Oh…Okay…No problem.” She replied, fighting back a lump in her throat. She swallowed hard.
“Uh, Sullie-ah?” said Dongho, worry felt in his voice “Are you okay?”
“Uh yeah…” replied Minseul when the words she really wanted to say were: No, I am not okay. You know why? Because I love you but I can’t have you. You know how sad that feels? The problem is she can’t even bring herself to say those words. “I’m just a bit tired from recording.” Ugh! She may have type AB blood, but she sucks at lying.
“Oh.” Said Dongho, letting out a sigh. “I thought you were sick. Thank God.”
“Is there any occasion I am needed in?” said Minseul, confused. There will be no filming for U-KISS vampire, if she wasn’t mistaken.
“Well, DUH!” said Dongho, a bit annoyed “I have a baseball game tomorrow. You can’t miss my game!”
Oh, so he wants me to watch. Thought Minseul. “Oh. I’ll see to that.” Another lie. All of her really didn’t want to go to anywhere she might see IU and Dongho in.
“You don’t have any other schedule if I’m not mistaken. Pops in Seoul filming is still the day after tomorrow, as Kevin-hyung told me. ” Said Dongho “So, I’ll expect to see you, my one and only bestfriend, there, watching me as I make my homerun.”
“I’ll see.” Said Minseul. His confidence could be annoying. She really didn’t want to go. “Bye.”
“Bye.”
Both hung up. Minseul plopped on her bed, her arm on her eyes. She won’t come. She won’t come. She’ll just be hurt, again. A day’s amount of pain is enough. And IU’s a cheerleader, so what’s the point of her being there? She’ll be strong. She’ll stay home and write something. Or read. Or study. Anything that’ll keep her from being in the game.…She’ll…
————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
She’ll find herself with her tush on the bleachers on game night.
——————————————————————————————————————————————–
I know. I know I’ll get hurt. I know that going here will just get me some dose of unimaginable pain. Are you really that magnetic? Have you eaten a magnet when you were a kid? Or is it just me. I guess I am just afraid. I know if I don’t show up, you’ll get mad at me. Not because you need me there, it’s because it’s my duty. My duty as a bestfriend.
And even as a bestfriend, I still fear a lot of things.
And one of those is losing you. Even as a friend.
——————————————————————————————————————————————–
Darn that stupid, weak willpower. Darn her heart, her seriously stupid and wishful thinking heart. Darn darn darn. Minseul annoyingly stared at Dongho as he hit the baseball with such vigor that made the home run. Everyone cheered. Except for her. Actually, she has no idea what was happening. She just continued to scold herself for being too freaking weak.
She only knew that Dongho made the homerun after the game.
She stood up from her seat. At least congratulate the guy. He was her bestfriend anyway. She was expected to congratulate him. She started to walk, slowly as her whole body felt heavier with each step, towards the direction where the team was. Except something stopped her in her tracks. Dongho and IU were in a heated conversation. And she felt it was about her.
“When are you going to stop seeing that girl?” asked IU, in a very annoyed tone. She obviously didn’t like “That Girl” to be around her “Boyfriend”.
And instantly, Minseul felt that “That Girl” was her.
“Sullie-ah?” asked Dongho, further confirming Minseul’s thoughts. He cleared his throat. “Why? She’s my bestfriend.”
“And I’m your GIRLFRIEND.” IU emphasized. “You are spending way too much time with her. Come on! Late night calls? Meetings on rooftops? What is she to you? Choose. Me or her?”
Minseul almost cried. She felt tears forming on each sky blue eye. She clutched her heart and held her head high. Dongho didn’t have to choose. She already made her choice. And it’s her choice to leave.
“Oppa…” Minseul finally blurted out, coming out from her hiding place. She smiled a bitter smile on those pristine pink lips.“You really don’t have to choose. I’ll leave. It’s okay…”
“Sullie-ah?” whispered Dongho, his expression that of a lost kitten, unsure of what to do. Choosing between Minseul, his ten year bestfriend, and IU, his six month girlfriend; is similar to choosing between your heart and your head. Both things are important. But in his case, one has to go or he’ll lose the other one. “Don’t…”
“Goodbye.” Said Minseul, and ran away…
“Sullie-ah!” Dongho shouted, running towards the direction Minseul went. Except he was stopped by IU’s restricting hand and her terrifying glare.
“Don’t. Even. Dare.” Said IU, glaring at the Maknae.
“I dare.” Said Dongho, confidence in his voice “And yeah, we’re through.”He finished off matter-of-factly. He dashed off after.
“What??!” IU practically shrieked. But Dongho already ran away.
———————————————————————————————————————————————————–
I guess, it was better for me to choose. It was better for me to leave. Well, in all variety shows, you had always said IU-unni was your dream girl. How could I, your lowly and ugly bestfriend, compete to that? You might say I’m pretty, but that would be just to make me feel better. You were a nice friend, the best one I ever had. Maybe I was too clingy. Maybe it was wrong for me to still hang on. Maybe it was wrong for me to hope.
But what could I do? It was your fault. It was all your fault for making me fall for you. Why did you have to do that?
I know, you’ll already be choosing IU-unni over me. But, please, don’t forget me. Or better yet, forget me. Forget everything about me. Forget that there was a Minseul present in your life.
That way, when I do what I want to do now, you will never feel guilty.
Do you know what I want to do now? What I want to do now…
Is end my life. Goodbye.
————————————————————————————————————————————————————–
Minseul’s running was welcomed by heavy rain. She was already drenched. She didn’t care though. It was better, for the rain hid the tears her eyes shed. In just one day, she didn’t just lose her bestfriend, she lost her one and only love.
She stopped in front of the pedestrian crossing. A lot of things were already flashing on her mind. Suicide? Maybe she’ll just throw herself in front of an incoming bus.
And as luck would have it, a bus was already coming on its way.
She took a step. Half of her hesitated, but she had made up her mind. She’ll end her life, right here, right now. Another step. The sound of a bus horn.
“SULLIE-AH!” screamed a voice she knew and loved very well.
“I must be in heaven already…” Minseul said. And then she felt two strong arms grip her and hustle her to the other side of the street.
She opened her eyes, only to stare into some perfectly dark chocolate orbs. Orbs that belong to one of the most beautiful persons in Minseul’s world. Shin Dongho. This must really be heaven.
“Yah! Sullie-ah?” Dongho scolded, shaking Minseul back to reality. “Aigoo…What were you trying to do anyway?”
“Huh?” said Minseul. She was still alive. Too much for wishful thinking. “Oh…Um…”
“Well, whatever…” said Dongho. He hugged her tight. Minseul felt her heart was about to explode and her cheeks becoming redder each millisecond. “At least you’re okay. Don’t run off like that again okay? And don’t scare me into thinking you were about to do suicide.”
Minseul blushed. “W-What about IU-unni?” she asked, her voice quivering.
“Well, we’re through.” Said Dongho, nonchalant as ever. “I really hate it when people ask me to choose between friends and girlfriends.”
“What?” said Minseul, breaking away from the hug. “Omo…Aigoo…I feel so guilty now…”
“Don’t.” said Dongho, hugging her again, making the timid girl bury her face on a chest that smelled like sweat and rain. A wonderful combination to her senses. “It’s not your fault. It was my choice.”
Minseul smiled. She was happy. She buried her face even more into Dongho’s chest and started to cry. “Oppa…” She said in between sobs. “I-I thought I was going to lose my bestfriend…” She sobbed more. And as she cried her heart out, Dongho lightly stroked her hair…
“I’m here. You didn’t lose a thing.” He said, not knowing that those small seven words meant the world to Minseul.
————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
You know, when we were in that embrace together, I didn’t even feel the rain. I didn’t even feel the stares put down to us, two drenched kids locked in an embrace under the rain. It was clichéd right? I know, you’d say that. It was just like a scene from a soap opera. A very cheesy one. And I know how you hate all those cheesy stuff on TV. You prefer blood and gore right?
But yeah, even though I also tend to dislike all those cheesy scenes, I think I like this one. Because in this one, I’m the lead and you’re my prince. Do you know how happy I felt that time? I felt like the world is mine. I was that happy. If only….
If only reality was like that.
———————————————————————————————————————————————————————–
A rendition of U-KISS’ Without You echoed throughout Minseul’s room. She almost tripped on her miniature poodle, Piano, just to answer the phone. She had never been this excited to answer a phone in her whole life. She checked the caller ID. Dongho. She smiled.
Because this time, he won’t call because he has problems with IU, he calls just to talk to her. Just like the old times. She took a deep breath before she answered the phone with her melodic voice.
“Uh, hi…” said Dongho, and as Minseul heard it, he sounded like he had just swallowed a frog. Dongho has never stuttered in his life. “I-It’s me…”
“Dongho-oppa?” said Minseul, a bit worried. “Are you okay?”
“Y-Yeah!” said Dongho, still stuttering… “Just peachy. Um, can I ask you something?”
“Anything.” Replied Minseul, smiling as she stared out at the moon from her window.
“Are you…” said Dongho, swallowing a lump forming in his throat “Are you going to prom?”
“P-prom?” said Minseul “I don’t know…I don’t have a date…And Sooyoung-unni already has Kyuhyun-oppa so I can’t go on a group date. Why?”
“So, you’ll go if you have a date?” asked Dongho, enthusiastically.
“Maybe…What’s up?” said Minseul, kind of confused.
“So…” said Dongho, calming his nerves… “Uh…”
“Hm?”
“My friend wants to go with you to the prom. He’s shy so he asked me to ask you if you can. He’s quite a looker so you won’t get disappointed okay? What do you say?” asked Dongho, feeling like a jerk and an idiot. What’s up with him?
“Well…okay…” said Minseul, quite disappointed. “Is that all?”
“Yeah…Um…Goodnight!” said Dongho before hanging up.
“Goodnight.”
———————————————————————————————————————————————————-
(Dongho POV, xD)
Okay, I feel like a jerk. A big, stupid and idiotic jerk. I don’t know what’s come up with me. There is no friend. Only me. No friend at all. Just plain old me. I was the one who wanted you as a date for the Prom. But yeah, I think I lost all my courage back there. Every ounce of it. I guess it’s because it’s the first time I have ever thought of you as a girl. And, even though how many times you say you’re as ugly as hell, you’re not. You’re…As beautiful as heaven. An angel set on earth. Especially if you remove your glasses.
But why have I noticed it only now? Maybe I was blinded. That’s why we, IU and me, had never kissed even once when I was dating her. She wasn’t the right one. And I have noticed it just lately.
You know, I have always wanted to ask you if you had a mirror at home. How could you not know you were that pretty? Have you turned deaf? Because as much as I know, a lot of idols think of you as their ideal. Kevin-hyung, Kibum-hyung, Xander-hyung. There’s also Mir-hyung, Thunder-hyung and Joon-hyung. Seunghyun-hyung and Jaejin-hyung even fought over you during an episode of Idol Maknae Rebellion. So, how could you say you’re ugly?
I think I’m just scared of rejection. I know, you only think of me as a bestfriend, but as of now, I can never think of you as that.
As of now…I think I’m in love with you.
I just wish I had the guts to say that.
—————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
Minseul looked at herself in the mirror. She had never remembered the time when she last saw herself without glasses. Her mom ordered her to get them off and when she refused, her mom broke them in half and gave her contact lenses. Her eyes still hurt, but it minimized a bit. She looked again. Her mom was carefully teasing her hair in a whimsical bun after lightly putting some make-up on her. Just to enhance her features, her mom had said. She didn’t need too much.
“Umma…” she said, her eyes still glued on the blue eyed fairy in the mirror. She can’t believe that that blue-eyed fairy was her. “Am I…That person?” she pointed to the mirror.
“Yes, you are that beautiful person in the mirror, Min.” said her mother “You are very beautiful. Haven’t you known that? You have been that beautiful since you were born. I don’t know but, you might even pass off as a beautiful fairy!”
Minseul smiled. Her mom stopped teasing her hair and smiled back. “Perfect. Now, for your dress.”
Her mom got out her prom dress from a big white box. It was carefully wrapped in brown paper, so Minseul can’t really make out the dress without seeing it up-close. Her mom pulled it out of the box and showed it to her. Minseul thought it was the most beautiful one she has ever seen in her life. It was a dress in the lightest of blue, carefully accentuating her sky blue eyes. It had a tight, strapless corset bodice that would hug her twenty-three inch waist and a voluminous princess skirt with folds and folds of silky fabric. She can’t wait to get inside the dress.
And once she was in it, she knew she was the sky-blue eyed fairy in the mirror.
————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
I have never imagined I would look this beautiful. Except, you will not be the one I will be walking with along on this Prom night. I was wishing you were the one who was going to ask me to the dance. But, it’s okay. As long as you’ll be there. I know you’ll still get at least a glimpse of me. And see that for you, I could look like the fairy I see in my mirror.
I just wish, so hard, that with my fairy magic, I could whisk you as my partner.
————————————————————————————————————————————————————–
Minseul stepped out of the car looking like a star. She was wearing the clip Dongho gave her, because it fit’s the dress. She felt like she was Cinderella. But, where was her prince?
Her phone rang from inside her purse. She got a text message.
My friend is already at the venue. He’s at the top of the stairway. Blue and White. –Dongho.
Minseul looked up. Blue and white. Hmmm…She spotted a slightly tall figure from atop the stairs dressed in a white tuxedo with blue decorations. She carefully stepped up. As she reached the top, she tapped the back of her “date”. He turned around, and much to Minseul’s astonishment, it was Dongho.
“Oppa!” said Minseul. “Sorry, I thought you were my date. By the way, where is this date you’re talking about?”
“Right in front of you.” Said Dongho, smiling at the ethereal fairy in front of him.
“Huh?” Minseul looked around. Her eyes grew wide as she realized that her date was none other than the princely figure in front of her. Dongho. “Oppa? But, why didn’t you tell me?”
“I—“
“People! You may now go in with your dates! The Prom is about to start!”
“I’ll explain later. Shall we?” asked Dongho, inviting Minseul to put her hand on the crook of his hand.
“We shall.”
————————————————————————————————————————————————————
Hey Girl! Today of all days, you look prettier. My heart’s key ~ The owner is none other than you Girl ~If I recall, I am very nervous. Precious. None other than you, my Baby Baby. Why, don’t you know. You don’t know me. I wish that you will take away my whole heart. I don’t need another. I only wish for Your Love!
————————————————————————————————————————————————————
A slow song played. Minseul only saw Dongho’s stretched out hand before she was whisked away to the dance floor. Dongho eagerly waltzed her with such grace. They danced while in a hug.
“You know…” said Dongho, whispering to Minseul’s ear as they danced “Before, I have never known that you were this beautiful. I knew you we’re pretty, but I guess I was blinded by a lot of things before I really saw you. I’m sorry for being such a jerk.”
“Oppa—“
“Shh…” said Dongho. “Let me talk. I’m really sorry that it took this long. I know I might get rejected, that’s why I didn’t take up the courage to ask you to dance in the first place. I even made up an imaginary friend because I was weak. I’m sorry.” He stopped for a long time before he continued. “Minseul, I hope this would not destroy our friendship, but for the ten years you have stayed with me, comforted me and helped me in every way…I have realized that…I love you. Saranghae.”
Minseul felt her heart was about to burst. Tears of joy started to flow out of her face as Dongho hugged her tighter.
“Saranghae…Saranghae…” Dongho repeated, as more tears came out of Minseul’s baby blues.
“Oppa…”said Minseul, hugging back “Sarangheyo…Cheongmal Sarangheyo…”
With her tears, Minseul didn’t feel the hug breaking. She only felt warm, syrupy lips touch her own and she was happy. Hoping was never bad.
Sometimes, hoping gets you the one you have always wanted.
————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
“Dongho-oppa~”Minseul whispered to her lover, and her bestfriend as she looked out to the night sky filled with millions of twinkling stars. “Aren’t the stars pretty?”
“Yeah…” replied Dongho with a smile. “But, I really don’t notice them that much.”
“Huh?” asked Minseul, startled “How could you not notice such a wonder?”
“Because I have a much beautiful star beside me…”
